Following her split from Stormzy, Maya Jama has been linked to Man City player Ruben Dias - but are they dating? Here's everything we know.

In 2023 fans of Love Island host Maya Jama and rapper Stormzy thought their dreams had come true when the pair announced they were back together after being broken up for four years. But sadly, almost a year later, they broke up for a second time.

Now, since the start of 2025, Maya has been romantically linked to Manchester City footballer Ruben Dias. The TV presenter, who is set to host this summer's Love Island, reportedly spent New Year with the 27-year-old athlete after meeting at the EMAs last November.

So, are Maya and Ruben the new it couple? Here's what we know.

Is Maya Jama dating Ruben Dias?

After months of dating speculation, Maya and Ruben have officially taken their relationship public so we can confirm they are dating.

At the end of May, the pair put on a very loved up display pitch side at a weekly Baller League match. They were seen kissing and cuddling with no attempts to hide their relationship.

The tabloids obtained a video of the couple hugging in a bunker behind the goal at the Copper Box Arena, in East London.

And eyewitness has said: "Maya and Ruben seemed very close, very loved up and were clearly very comfortable with each other. They were chatting to others around them but gravitated back to each other. They seem very happy with each other."

Since then the pair have gone Instagram official, after Maya shared a video of Ruben on a boat with her she posted a photo dump which included them cuddled up together. She captioned the post: "Amalfi coasting"

Maya Jama ‘perves’ on her boyfriend Ruben Dias

At the start of 2025, following rumours, a tabloid source claimed Maya and Ruben had been secretly dating for months. The source said: “Maya and Ruben swapped details at the EMAs and have chatted since, but things went up a gear in early December.

"When Ruben got injured and had to miss the congested new year fixtures, he jumped at the chance to see in 2025 with Maya in Spain. Spending New Year’s Eve together was a real step forward in their relationship."

“They get on really well and obviously make a gorgeous couple, but it’s early days,” they said.

Maya has only personally addressed the relationship twice, once when she replied to an internet troll who tried to shame her for 'jumping from relationship to relationship'.

The Love Island host pulled up a recent post from the troll where he had said it was a "mental disorder" to be interested in the dating lives of celebrities you don't personally know. She reposted it and simply said, "Oh [laughing faces].. but.. [shrugging face]".

The second time was when Gary Lineker 'outed' Ruben as her boyfriend during a Baller League event. The footballing legend interrupted a conversation between Maya and Micah Richards, saying: "Micah, stop flirting and get her boyfriend to play for us."

After his comment, Maya said: "Get out! This is why I don't talk to old people. They're so weird."
