Callum Jones and Jess Gale have split after just seven weeks together – but why did they breakup?

Love Island All Stars finalists Callum Jones and Jess Gale have broken up after they finished in second place in the villa, behind Callum’s ex of three and a half years Molly Smith and her new boyfriend Tom Clare.

Callum and Jess got together toward the end of All Stars, growing close just days after she arrived with twin sister Eve as a bombshell.

The couple have been plagued with break-up rumours since they returned from the villa; from distance to Instagram posts to whatever reason under the sun, fans have forecast the pair's split, and it finally happened. Jess revealed just a week ago that Callum had done something to her that she had deemed unforgivable.

However, now sources have come forward to explain what really happened between Jess and Callum.

Why did Callum Jones and Jess Gale split after Love Island?

All Stars couple Callum and Jess split after becoming embroiled in a row at his ex Molly’s Boohoo launch party. According to the tabloids they shocked the other partygoers by bickering at the party and eventually left separately.

A source said: “Callum and Jess have been hanging on a by a thread but it’s very much over now. Everyone was shocked to see them arguing and then Callum was seen cosying up with another blonde.

“Jess left the party alongside her mates and Demi Sims, putting the drama behind her.”

Whilst Jess was apparently spotted making a swift exit from the party with BFF Demi Jones, Callum also left the party with an unidentified mystery woman. However, this woman has nothing to do with their break up.

According to the Daily Mail, a source has spilt that Callum may have had a dalliance with Anna-May Robey, an ex-Love Islander who appeared for a short time on series nine of the reality show.

Speaking to the publication, the source said, “She [Jess] had learned of Callum’s fling with Anna-May, which came as a complete surprise to her, as far as Jess knew she and Callum were trying to make their romance work outside of the show."

“It was embarrassing how it all played out at a party and Callum proceeded to rub salt in the wound by leaving the venue holding another girl’s hand,” the source told the publication.

They went on to say that Jess had heard the rumours of Callum and Anna-May right before the party, telling the outlet, “Jess was devastated… she was on her way to the boohoo event with this big cloud over her, she felt very hurt at the time.”

According to the same source, Jess and Callum had already broken up before Callum began a casual relationship with Anna-May, saying, “Some of the accusations made against Callum have left him feeling really sad.”

“At the point of leaving Love Island with Jess, they were still two people getting to know each other with the hope of their romance working outside of the show.”

“But they didn’t make their relationship official and decided to end things back in March, with Callum believing they parted ways as friends. Callum was never unfaithful to Jess so it has been upsetting for him to hear otherwise.”
